PDO Threads Q&A

What are PDO Threads?

PDO threads are dissolvable sutures that are used to lift and shape the areas they are placed in. This is accomplished through collagen stimulation. Traditionally, they were used only in the face and neck. Now, they are used in other body areas such as the arms, breasts and nose.

Who needs PDO threads?

The ideal candidate for this procedure are patients with sagging jowls and loss of fat pads in the face. This can start to happen as early as your mid-late 30s in some people. If you are looking for a natural, non-surgical face lift with no downtime this is the procedure for you!

How often should I schedule PDO Threads?

After the initial placement, you may need a touch up done after 9 months. It is recommended to after one year a touch up should be done regardless to maintain the results. Results may vary though and some have reported results lasting up to 18 months before a repeat treatment was needed.
